It is said that there are seven different points of energy, which create balance and flow through the body. These points of energies are called chakras. In a new video released by the California-based Conscious Counselor, participants at a speaking event find their root chakra and are taught how to use this knowledge of energy in everyday life.
The root chakra is the foundation of the body as it is the center point for the body. It is located at the base of the spine in the tailbone area is what helps balance and ground people.
“Your root chakra, we call it grounded for a reason. Your feet, your legs are an entire extension of your root chakra,” says Conscious Counselor speaker, Quin as he points to his lower abdomen.
When someone practices being grounded, this allows for a full conscious present moment. Many say that this allows those who practice being grounded and being in the present to be extremely aware as to what is going on around them and in their life.
He continues, “There are things that are true when it comes to the connection of your body. The energy and the connection between you and the earth; there is this synergy there.”
At this event, Quin helps a participant find his grounded area. Men often do not explore this deep rooted chakra and therefore weaken the important area. Quin explains that this workout for the root chakra can be intense the first two times it is done, but has major benefits with grounding oneself.
Quin has the participant, Reggie, bend his knees until he cannot bend them any more. Reggie then feels the deep sense of gravity in his root chakra.
“I’ve been studying men and women for about 20 years and this is the best way to be the rock. This is the best way to be that masculine,” says Quin. For the full video on this, please click on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI-Jpx7ivek
Quin says when he first did this exercise, he could only do it for two to three minutes, however now with practice, he can do the exercise much longer. This exercise activates the roots in the body, being the feet and legs, therefore helping make someone more grounded and more in control.
The exercise allows energy to move through the participant and the planet. Since it activates these deep grounded roots of the legs and feet, the body is forced to use the planet to balance and maintain stability. Living in the present and living a grounded life is extremely important for a well balanced lifestyle.
By placing hands in a star shaped and placing the fingers downward at the pelvis makes for extreme grounding practice during the exercise. With all the energy being placed towards the earth, the exercise becomes more powerful. Eight fingers now help circulate energy towards the ground and making the participant more grounded and stable.
Other chakras include the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra, and the crown chakra. The root chakra is the most important when finding a grounded feeling and exercising that chakra allows for more energy and stabilization in a person’s life.
By practicing being grounded by using the root chakra, this will allow for fuller awareness to surrounding areas. This awareness trickles through being present financially and socially making for a more improved and useful life. By exercising the root chakra, this allows for energy to flow through the body and into the earth increasing the root chakra energy and making oneself more fully aware. This exercise can be performed a few minutes every day to improve energy and lifestyle.
