Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is looking forward to exhibiting at the UK’s largest event in the optometry calendar, Optrafair 2015, which will be held at the Birmingham NEC on Saturday 18th – Monday 20th April 2015.

HS-UK will be exhibiting a large selection of its product portfolio on stand N10, including; the newly-launched iScan and iFusion OCT devices from Optovue and the popular Eidon wide-field confocal scanner from CenterVue.

In addition to this, HS-UK is excited to announce that it will be showcasing the Optovue AngioVue for the first time since becoming the sole UK distributor back in February.

The AngioVue system is absolutely unique within the industry. Optovue has introduced the only commercially available OCT-Angiography system capable of imaging and displaying function and structure of the ocular microvasculature - through a non-invasive procedure.

Unlike conventional Fluorescein Angiography, the AngioVue can image different layers of microvasculature without requiring dye injection, enabling you to repeat the procedure as many times as necessary.

Other products being exhibited on the HS-UK stand will include; the DRS retinal camera, Octopus 600 perimeter, BQ900 LED slit lamp and the Perkins Mk3 hand-held tonometer.

HS-UK will be sponsoring an educational lecture that will run alongside the main exhibition. ‘Advancements in high-resolution, wide-field imaging and OCT’ will be presented by guest speakers; Mr Giuliano Barbaro, Chief Executive Officer, CenterVue and Mr Serge Pierrache, Director of International Sales EMEA, Optovue. This lecture will take place at 12pm on Monday 20th April.

Sharon Mills, HS-UK Marketing Manager, said, “Optrafair is always a great show for HS-UK and I am excited about the forthcoming event. We will be showcasing some exciting OCT products from Optovue, including the new AngioVue OCT-Angiography system. We are also pleased to offer the Eidon, from CenterVue, which is the World’s first true colour wide-field confocal scanner. These products are exciting additions to Haag-Streit UK’s product portfolio.”

Sharon continued, “We are also delighted to support the Optrafair education programme. In addition to sponsoring the ‘Advancements in high-resolution, wide-field imaging and OCT’ lecture, HS-UK will also take part in the ‘Show and Tell’ equipment workshops’, which will give delegates an opportunity to earn valuable CET points.”
