HS-UK announces ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses to be held in Bristol in 2015
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 19 December 2014 -- Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce two further ‘Improving Outcomes’ Biometry Courses, which will be held at the new location of Bristol in March 2015.
HS-UK has now finalised an exciting programme for these two additional courses, which includes lectures on topics such as; good biometry practice, TORIC IOL surgery and IOL power calculation. The courses will take place at the Double Tree Hotel in Bristol on the 19th and 20th March 2015.
These ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses have been designed to help both beginners and experienced Ophthalmic Consultants get the most from their biometer. Speakers for the event are confirmed as; Mr David Sculfor, Consultant Optometrist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Mr Guy Smith, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Great Weston Hospital, Swindon. Both are widely-recognised as experts in their field.
Each day will include practical, hands-on workshops which will support a range of subjects, including; measurement, IOL power calculators, editing IOL data, immersion ultrasound and TORIC IOL planning.
The first day will cover ‘Improving Outcomes’ standard biometry methods and the second will focus on more advanced techniques, enabling delegates to attend whichever day is more appropriate for their individual learning requirements. Attendees will be able to claim 7.5 CPD points for each day of the event.
Sam Laidlaw, HS-UK Product Manager for biometry said, “Both ‘Improving Outcomes’ Biometry Courses will present a great opportunity for delegates to gain hands-on experience in workshops. We also have some excellent speakers lined up, who are recognised as experts in biometry and cataract surgical planning”.
The price for each course is just £100, which will include lunch at the Double Tree Hotel. Due to the popularity of the previous ‘Improving Outcomes’ Manchester and London courses it is advised that those wishing to attend should book early to avoid disappointment.
