Haag-Streit UK to host UK-wide roadshow for Octopus 900 perimeter
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 17 January 2014 -- Haag-Streit UK, the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is about to embark on a roadshow to showcase the Octopus 900 perimeter in the UK, due to a significant increase of interest in the product.
The roadshow is due to take place at numerous locations throughout the UK during January and February. The series of visits was organised by Sam Laidlaw, HS-UK Product Manager for the Haag-Streit products. The roadshow will give Ophthalmologists and Visual Field Technicians the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the Octopus 900, using their own patients. Staff will receive practical demonstrations and an explanation of data analysis.
The Octopus 900 uses a full-size, 180 degree Goldmann-size bowl, which enables the user to conduct kinetic visual fields. It is the only perimeter of its kind to offer four methods of perimetry in one instrument, including; standard white/white, blue/yellow, flicker and true Goldmann perimetry. Full threshold testing in less than two minutes per eye and automated eye tracking enable a quick exam, increasing comfort for the patient.
