Bangor, Maine (PRWEB) November 23, 2015 -- The past few weeks have been filled with horrific violence. In an effort to demonstrate Husson’s solidarity with the multitude of people who have suffered over the past three weeks, the University will be holding a Peace Vigil on Monday, November 23 at 6:00 p.m. on its campus in Bangor, Maine.
Here are additional details about the upcoming Peace Vigil.
WHAT:
Husson University’s International Students Association and the Office of the Chaplain will be holding a Peace Vigil. The vigil will consist of addresses by Husson leaders and a candlelight memorial ceremony. Participants will be encouraged to join in supporting and creating a more peaceful world.
WHO:
Sharing his thoughts with those in attendance will be Jonathan Henry, vice president of enrollment management at Husson University. University Chaplain Sarah Pringle-Lewis will also be speaking.
The event is free and open to Husson University students, faculty, and staff. Members of the community who would like to attend and participate are also welcome.

The event is a demonstration of Husson University’s solidarity with the multitude of people who have suffered over the past three weeks. Recent tragedies include terrorist attacks in Paris, the destruction of a Russian Metro Jet over Egypt, bombings in Nigeria, a suicide bombing in Beirut, a car bombing in Somalia, a hostage situation at a hotel in Mali and more.
