Coming out of anesthesia for the eighth time for an arthritis procedure, and looking at an immediate future that included artificial joints, long time Provo resident Jack Mahoney knew he had to find another path.
Jack discovered that arthritis does not just affect the body, but the mind and spirit as well. He realized that any approach that has a chance of addressing the impact of arthritis will have to involve the body, mind and spirit as well.
Four years later, 16,000 hours with the help of volunteers, contractors, athletic trainers, research scientists, MDs, a local university and others, I Can Move Again is a reality.
Jack says a hundred things make his wellness center different, but he’ll name just one: “Our center was specifically designed for those suffering from arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and other conditions that result in debilitating joint pain. Whether limping, walking with a cane, using a walker, or even using a wheelchair, those suffering with joint pain can restore health, hope and happiness in the face of that pain*!”
