IceWarp Releases Version 11.2 With a New WebAdmin for Mobile Devices
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- IceWarp, the messaging industry’s first solution to offer WebRTC-powered voice and video calls, online meetings and chat, has released a new version of its popular email server today, IceWarp Server 11.2. The new release has many updated features including a new WebAdmin to streamline the daily administration agenda and promote accessibility from any device, computer or tablet.
IceWarp’s new WebAdmin removes complexity and outdated management consoles from routine administrative tasks like setting up a new employee’s email, creating a mailing list or managing group members. This new simplified server management doesn’t require a trained professional and can be easily delegated to common staff. The intuitive web interface is designed like a smartphone app and works with any browser, from the computer, tablet or smartphone.
“The technology used is HTML5, which is especially beneficial for devices like smartphones and tablets, where the interface layout will automatically adjust to the available screen estate,” explains Adam Paclt, CEO at IceWarp. “We’re only beginning to simplify and integrate with web browsers. The browser-first approach will extend to the full system administration by Fall 2015.”
Other new IceWarp features include:
Email Templates- This new WebClient feature allows users to create templates for messages they frequently send and organize them in a special folder. The templates can be used not only to create new messages, but also when replying or replying to all.
Remaining Message Size- Emails have size limitations, but often you only realize this after trying to send the message. A new visual indicator tells users how much of the total message size limit is currently used by text and attachments.
IceWarp To IceWarp Migration- When hardware is retired, a new IceWarp to IceWarp migration tool will reliably move the whole messaging system to the new machine or to the cloud. The migration tool can run unattended across the network and saves the administrator all the heavy lifting of data backup and restore.
Text Messaging from Android phones- Users of select Android phones like Samsung and LG that support the SMS Sync capability can type messages from their computer that will be synced down to the device and sent from the user’s personal phone number. Any replies appear in the Inbox of the computer as well as on the device, and can be managed from both places.
Mac Integration- The new version 11.2 restores compatibility with the Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite Calendar application that uses a whole new concept of sending meeting invitations in CalDAV accounts. Mac deployment is greatly simplified for users by a SmartDiscover-based configuration tool for Mail, Messages, Calendar and Contacts account setup.
