Ideum Develops the Ultimate Collaborative Conference Room Table
Ideum's new conference room table with three fully integrated Ultra HD multitouch displays was developed specifically for collaborative workspaces. The first product of its kind, this innovative turnkey system is available with a variety of custom options and features high-end components from 3M™, LG, Intel, NVIDIA, Crestron, and BrightSign.
CORRALES, N.M., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ideum is pleased to announce the launch of a new conference room table. Designed for maximum technical flexibility for meetings, presentations, and other collaborative activities, this new table offers multiple touch displays and powerful, fully integrated Windows computer systems with the latest 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processors and dedicated NVIDIA graphics cards. It also features laptop and smartphone docking and tools for switching display sources to additional screens.
The first four conference room tables Ideum designed and built were developed in collaboration with Amada, a Japanese manufacturer of metal processing equipment. These 12-foot tables were crafted from quilted maple in Ideum's Exhibit Fabrication Studio in Corrales, NM, and recently installed in the client's Chicago office. Each table features two 43" 4K multitouch displays at the ends and a larger 65" 4K multitouch display mounted in the center. An integrated Crestron panel and switching system in each table allows changing the source from the table to display images on a vivid 3x3 LG video wall.
"This new conference room table was developed in collaboration with Amada to allow staff to share presentations or technical information which can be switched in real time to the large video wall. The table features the same industry-leading technology from LG and 3M we use in all of our multitouch products. Not only is it engineered to enhance collaboration, but the beautiful woodworking and workmanship is a point of pride," said Jim Spadaccini, Ideum Founder and Creative Director.
Like other high-end Ideum touch tables, the conference room table also comes with a built-in RFID reader and software utility, allowing users to automate a variety of system tasks. Communication hardware can also be removed for use in secure environments. It comes with Windows 10 and a lifetime license for the GestureWorks multitouch authoring SDK for Windows. Developers can also purchase Tangible Engine 2, which allows tangible user interface authoring on Ideum touch tables. All of Ideum's touch tables are made in the USA and include a three-year warranty.
