About the Winners
Hoffman, a Supplier Collaboration Engineer for Caterpillar, said his interest in woodworking and home improvement dates back to when he and his wife Susan purchased their first home that required remodeling projects that he did with the help of his friends. "My interest grew from that point as I added more tools to my collection, thanks to Woodcraft," Hoffman said.
Lientz traces his woodworking interest and his current career to his uncle's construction business where he began working 40 years ago. Twenty-three years ago he started his own business, Alpine Construction Co. Lientz said his newly won tool collection will come in handy for the custom furniture he has been wanting to make for himself. He is an online Woodcraft customer.
When Shumard registered for the giveaway sweepstakes at the Seattle Woodcraft store, she said she was looking at some tools for a project. "I wanted to craft wood signs. I work for a school district in the area, so this is a DIY project I thought would be fun to get into as a hobby," she said. "Luckily, I won most all the tools I'll need to get started and I'm really excited!"
