Vital Insurance Agency, a family owned firm providing insurance and financial planning services to families and businesses in the Chicago area, and the Southwest Suburban Immigrant Protect, a local nonprofit, are extending a charity event to assist local immigrants that was initiated this summer.

SSIP is a regional nonprofit committed to supporting communities of immigrants residing in the southwestern Chicago suburbs. Initially begun in August, the Vital Insurance / SSIP cooperative charity event has already raised a modest number of donations, and efforts are underway to broaden communications and gather more support for immigrants seeking to integrate into the Chicago community.

“Our agency and the SSIP are grateful for all the support and donations we’ve received so far, but there are still a large number of families that need our help and the help of our community – we can’t let them down,” says Miguel Gonzalez, owner and acting manager of Vital Insurance Agency.

Part of the planned communication expansion to generate support for the charity event will include accelerated efforts to reach area families, business owners, and civic leaders over social media and email channels. A previous article outlining the charity event was publishing in “Our Hometown,” a monthly online magazine hosted by Vital Insurance, and a second article detailing the ongoing charity effort is planned for release this month: http://www.vitalinsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.

April marked the beginning of the Vital Insurance Agency’s involvement with the national “Agents of Change” charity support campaign. As part of this ongoing initiative, Gonzalez and the Vital Insurance team will be selecting and supporting a series of Chicago-area charitable causes at the rate of one every other month.

Anyone who wishes to join Vital Insurance Agency and the Southwest Suburban Immigrant Protect during this charity event is personally invited to make a difference and further the cause by following this link: http://www.vitalinsuranceagency.com/Guiding-those-pursuing-the-American-Dream_13_community_cause.
