Unique Event Announced in West Hollywood Celebrating ‘Immigrants Day’ and Russian-American Superstar Aida Vedisheva’s Great Contributions
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- Aida Vedisheva, superstar Russian recording artist, singer, songwriter of 16 albums which sold over 30 million copies, and author and director of the acclaimed patriotic musical “Masterpiece And Singing Liberty” recently celebrated 35 years in her beloved United States as well as over 50 years in the entertainment industry.
To celebrate her impressive body of work, as well as her tireless charity work, Unity in Diversity Arts Foundation along with the City of West Hollywood announced a gala concert in her honor on September 19, 2015 at Plummer Park’s Fiesta Hall in West Hollywood, CA at 6:00 PM.
Interestingly enough, Ms. Vedisheva asked to share this occasion to honor all immigrants who in seeking freedom from endless restrictions and persecution due to their respective faiths, beliefs or nationalities were forced to flee their native countries to find peace and freedom in the United States. She requested that the event be called ‘Immigrant’s Day’ and hopes to help make September 19th a national holiday to commemorate the people who make up the heart of our country, the immigrants who came here to make America their home.
Aida Vedisheva left her native Russia at the peak of her career, adored by millions yet yearning for artistic freedom. Like many artists before her, she fled the Soviet Union for the dream of liberty that America held and like so many other immigrants, she went through the gates of Freedom in New York Harbor, where she came face to face with the universal symbol of freedom, the Statue of Liberty.
This fantastic concert event will showcase many great singers from all over the world, such as talented Ukrainian pop star Olga Emelyn Kay, celebrated Bulgarian opera singer Mariana Popzlateva and famous Armenian singer and actor Hovhannes Babakhanyan. Also performing is distinguished Russian-born pianist Alla Konviser, Israeli Guitar player and composer Lilo Fadidas, popular Russian-born violin virtuoso Yasha Konviser and of course the main event will be a performance by the great Aida Vedisheva.
This unique evening will be hosted by the hilariously talented American comedian Lawrence Shersher (a.k.a. Lawrence360) and co-hosted by Lia and Ella Babakhanyan. Ms. Vedisheva exclaimed that, “We look forward to seeing you at this unique celebration of immigrants. It will be a celebration of life, liberty and magnificent determination.”
