The In View Series Announces Plans for More Episodes About Veterans and Employment
(PRWEB) October 17, 2013 -- Yesterday, Illinois became the first state to join a growing coalition of civic, government and business leaders that aims to help returning soldiers find gainful employment and reintegrate back into civilian life. Illinois governor Pat Quinn announced his state’s participation in a program called “Get Skills to Work.” The producers of the In View series, an enlightening cable television program, have featured some companies that make hiring veterans a priority, and have announced their intentions to spotlight more companies as well as government programs that aid returning service members and their families.
With hundreds of thousands of military members set to leave the service and return from deployments in the near future, leaders from across society want to make their returns as seamless as possible to avoid some of the problems that faced soldiers returning from Vietnam. A number of major corporations have signed onto a broad coalition of companies as part of the 100,000 Jobs Mission, which aims to hire 100,000 military members by 2020. In View hosted by Larry King has highlighted the 100,000 Jobs Mission, and profiled some companies that recognize the value of hiring military veterans, many of whom possess numerous qualities that make them valuable assets in the business world. These qualities include determination, integrity, good work ethics, adaptability and honesty.
The producers of the In View series hosted by Larry King hope to feature several more companies across the American economy for this series. The In View show has already showcased leading firms in the financial services and shipping industries for this series.
