Kintone, provider of a no-code application development platform used to quickly connect teams, organize data, and visualize and automate workflows, announced it was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its report, The Forrester Wave™: Low-Code Platforms for Business Developers, Q2 2019. In this evaluation, Kintone was cited as a Strong Performer. The report used 30 criteria to assess how 12 low-code providers and products measure up and helps application development and delivery (AD&D).

According to the report, “Kintone offers empowerment, community, and the no-code promise…. [and] also has strengths in collaboration, reporting, development-process support, and browser support, and it is competitive in most other criteria in our assessment.” In addition to receiving the highest possible scores in the start-up experience, breadth of use cases and development process support criteria, Kintone also received the highest score possible on the number of customers and revenue growth rate criteria and was among those vendors that scored highest in the market presence category.

The Forrester Wave notes, “The leading platforms solve the puzzle of how to make database design simple while opening more powerful database tools as business developers learn. Workflow and process designers remain the exception rather than the rule among these vendors. And features to organize and govern development processes are highly variable among the platforms,”

Kintone’s no-code platform provides teams with the ability to quickly create custom applications with built-in workflow and collaboration. With a firm commitment to providing a no-code approach to creating a company-wide culture of teamwork, Kintone empowers business users to be more efficient and effective. The company’s newly redesigned mobile app creates a seamless desktop to device transition, to provide 24/7 access to Kintone apps and workflow.

“We’re more than pleased to be named a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Low-Code Platforms for Business Developers, Q2 2019 report,” said Dave Landa, CEO, Kintone. “We’ve worked very hard to deliver a no-code platform that provides business users with an easy way to develop applications that incorporate workflow and collaboration capabilities that binds teams together to increase efficiency, engagement and transparency.”

According to the report, “digital businesses’ demand for ever more automation, ever more quickly, requires more minds and hands producing applications. [Application development and delivery] AD&D support and governance are also crucial for allowing business developers to contribute meaningfully to their firms’ software strategies.”
