Local pet-owner wants to bring indoor dog park to New Hampshire
Rochester, NH (PRWEB) October 24, 2014
One day Jenn Grassi decided to look for an indoor play area for her dog. She searched for several hours and couldn’t find one anywhere in the state.
“I found this shocking because the weather here in New Hampshire can be very unpredictable,” Grassi said. “We have long, cold, snowy winters and some of the summer days are hot and humid. I need a place where my dog can run around.”
The solution is Zoom Room, a franchise that operates in 21 cities around the country. Zoom Room facilities provide dog-owners with an indoor hangout for their pets as well pet training and a retail shop that carries the latest eco-friendly training products. It’s also a place where dog-owners can socialize.
Grassi would very much like to bring a Zoom Room franchise to New Hampshire.
“I have a passion for animals, dogs in particular,” she said. “Having a career that involves working with dogs has been a dream of mine for quite some time. I have the drive, the passion, and the willingness to put in the hard work that is involved in building a successful business.”
What she doesn’t have is the start-up capital. Grassi estimates that she’ll need about $135,000 for franchising fees, a building lease, insurance, training products and other expenses.
In order to generate this funding, she has launched an Indiegogo campaign, which can viewed at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/bring-zoom-room-to-new-hampshire.
Donations of any amount are welcome. For a $50 contribution, backers will receive two free group classes and a dog evaluation. For $300, contributors can sign up their dogs for two six-week training workshops. A $1,000 pledge gets the dog-owner one year of free group training sessions.
“As the pet service industry continues to grow and the popularity of dog training grows, my Zoom Room will give the people in my area a place to get their pets the training and exercise they need for a healthy lifestyle,” Grassi said. “This will be a great thing for the community and provide a much-needed service where nothing of this kind is available.”
