American Sentinel University’s Informatics Professor Named Reviewer for the International Journal of Health Promotion and Education
Aurora, CO (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- American Sentinel University, a leading online accredited university, today announced that Dr. Margaret Czart, assistant professor, health care informatics, has been chosen as a reviewer for The International Journal of Health Promotion and Education (IJHPE). The IJHPE is the journal for the Institute of Health Promotion and Education and is a recognized professional association with a membership base of highly qualified health professionals and research academics.
Dr. Czart was chosen to serve as a reviewer for the IJHPE based on her impressive background in health care informatics and her specialty and interest in health promotion and communications.
“Due to the increasing popularity of the journal, we are currently focused on connecting with international experts in the field who are able to act as referees,” says Dr. Siobhain O’Riordan, Ph.D., CPsychol, MIHPE and editor of the IJHPE. “We are delighted that Dr. Czart has accepted our invitation to become a reviewer for The International Journal of Health Promotion and Education, particularly given her specialism and interest in health promotion and communications.”
Dr. Czart says she chose to specialize in health promotion because there is so much to be learned about various diseases. “Those who suffer from various diseases need to have someone to turn to and since I always enjoyed helping others, it’s a field that gives me great satisfaction,” she adds.
She notes that the specialty field of health communication is important to her because it allows each individual to determine their own motivation and set their own goals in improving health. She cites Bernard Baum, founder of the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois, as her inspiration.
Baum said that, “The key to a person’s success is their motivation and the respect they receive from others.” Dr. Czart says this has become a golden rule for her both personally and professionally.
“Being recognized by The International Journal of Health Promotion and Education is a great honor,” says Dr. Czart. “The invitation from an international journal acknowledges my health experience on an international level and as a reviewer, I will become more aware of health issues on a global scale.”
She points out that we may all live in different countries with different cultures, but the basics of health and communications remain unchanged.
“We are pleased that Dr. Margaret Czart has become a reviewer for The International Journal of Health Promotion and Education. Her experience in health care informatics and in health-related online simulations will greatly assist in improving the quality of articles published. We are delighted that she is providing this service to the academic community,” says John Bourne, Ph.D., chief academic advisor at American Sentinel University.
