Inspira Marketing Group announced the creation of the inspiRunners team and its pledge to run 1500 miles in the month of September to raise money as part of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Million Mile Run initiative to raise the profile of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The nationwide initiative challenges supporters everywhere to collectively run or walk one million miles in the month of September. Participants are urged to recruit friends and family members to pledge dollar amounts for each mile or make a donation directly to the cause. Drawing on the inspiration of Foundation creator Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who set out to raise $1 million through lemonade stands in 2004, her father, running enthusiast and Foundation Co-Executive Director Jay Scott, believes reaching the million-mile goal in just 30 days is attainable.
The inspiRunners Team is comprised of Inspira Marketing Group employees who will “fill” their individual “glasses” of lemonade on the custom inspiRunners team poster (see image) as they each attempt to log 100 miles for the cause. InspiRunners organizers anticipate meeting their 1500-mile team goal during the first week of the month-long challenge.

The experiential marketing firm was founded by Jeff Snyder to help fund progressive research into finding a cure for Astrocytoma, a rare form of pediatric spinal cord cancer. Snyder’s daughter Kennedy has battled the disease most of her life. “As a parent of a child who has been battling cancer for the past ten years, I am completely awestruck by the kindness, compassion and dedication of the people I work with who come out in full force to support us in our fight against this terrible disease,” said Snyder.
