CelebrityBusinessAnalyst.com Explores New Method of Film Advertisement Using Instagram
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- CelebrityBusinessAnalyst.com released its analysis of a new kid on the block where film advertising is concerned: Instagram video. On the heels of a July 16 Los Angeles Times report, Celebrity Business Analyst takes a look at how Hollywood could be taking social media to the next level by including it in their marketing plans.
Instagram, a social media application that revolves around user photos and fun editing tools, released its video feature on June 20, and users have taken a liking to the component. Unsurprisingly, some of these users include big names in Hollywood, but they’re not just using the feature to post personal videos. In fact, Instagram fans can now view a miniature movie trailer for Ashton Kutcher’s new film Jobs, a biopic based on the life of Steve Jobs. Jobs was the first film to roll out a trailer using the new tool. “Most social applications have turned into huge marketing platforms. The normal routes of cable and satellite tv will never be replaced of course, but production companies spend a lot on advertisement. Using Instagram video is free, so even if the trailer reaches a small number of users, it’s worth giving it a shot,” says Celebrity Business Analyst’s senior writer. “It seems very fitting that a movie about a pioneer in the technology industry would be the first to use a new technological idea.”
One Hollywood comedy duo has even released a mini-movie using Instagram’s new tool. David Koechner and Harland Williams, both of Anchorman and Half-Baked fame, made a silly “buddy cop” short using eight video clips.
Celebrity Business Analyst is always interested in new ways Hollywood production companies and celebrities advertise their new ventures. The site thinks Jobs is the perfect film to blaze a trail for a possible new trend in movie advertising and wonders how long it will take other studios to catch on.
