On July 17th, the Interior Design Society Dallas Ft. Worth chapter (IDSDFW) gathered with industry and business partners at the Brendan Bass Showroom in the Dallas Design District for an enjoyable evening of gaiety and style – their 2nd annual DESIGN MIX networking event.
The concept of DESIGN MIX is to provide a venue at which interior designers and industry professionals who are usually outside the scope of the IDSDFW can get to know each other better and thereby improve business relations to the betterment of clients and future projects. Design-related organizations like the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and others, as well as industry-related associates and vendors were invited.
“DESIGN MIX is the perfect event for us all to gain exposure in the proper audience, network with each other, and form new friendships in the industry,” explains Nicole Arnold, current president of the IDSDFW Chapter.
This year’s event attracted more than 150 attendees and included company sponsors Arizona Tile, Brendan Bass Showroom, DeVance A/V Design, D Home, Fashion Glass & Mirror, Fiber Seal, Glass Recycled, Lancaster and Associates, Sherwin Williams, and Surya. The companies not only generously provided door prizes, but also their time in helping plan and set up this successful event.
All in attendance enjoyed an evening of interesting company in beautiful surroundings with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and music.
The host of the evening, Brendan Bass, commented, “I love the optimism and upbeat business spirit of IDS. It was a pleasure to host a party with such an enthusiastic and fun organization!”
“My personal mission leading the IDS chapter this year is to ensure the members, both designers and industry partners, get the marketing and business development exposure that they’re seeking. We do this in a large number of ways from website and social media promotion to intentional networking. DESIGN MIX is an integral component of this mission,” explains Arnold.
