Inventor and InventHelp Client Develops Pickup-Truck Bed Extender (WGH-4346)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) March 03, 2014 -- If you need to haul a lot of goods, a pickup truck is the go-to option. Of course, even these vehicles have their limitations, like the size of their beds. To make sure that you can haul larger loads safely, an inventor from New Castle, PA, developed the Tailgate Extension.
The device enlarges the truck bed. It allows large and bulky loads to be hauled in a safe and efficient manner with the original tailgate lowered. The unit keeps loads secured so that they do not fall out of the bed and create obstructions for other motorists.
This is designed to enhance roadway safety. The invention reduces anxiety when traveling with the tailgate lowered and materials extended beyond the rear. Furthermore, it is adaptable for use with any pickup truck.
The inventor's personal observations inspired the idea. "I thought of this idea one day while I watched man loading cargo into the bed of his pickup truck," he said. "It struck me that I could come up with a better way to transport and secure goods in the truck bed."
The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
