"I work in security, and one day I was practicing my pepper-spray draw," said an inventor from Houston, Texas. "No matter how many times I drew the canister, the action was clumsy and distracting." Since this was due to the style of holster, he was inspired to design a more draw-friendly model.
He then created a prototype of the Whippet, which allows for the quicker drawing of a pepper-spray canister during an emergency. It prevents struggle and distraction, enables the user to focus on the perpetrator(s) and promotes safety. It also encourages use of non-lethal force by making OC spray more accessible. This easy-to-use holster is ideal for police officers and security personnel.
