Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Sharp N Go, to companies for review.

Do you wish there was a way to enhance the functions of a standard tape measure? Then you need the Sharp N Go.

The Sharp N Go is designed to enhance the functions of a tape measure. The invention enables an individual to perform standard measuring tasks, but it also offers a more convenient way to sharpen knives and blades. As a result, it saves time and it eliminates the need to replace dull blades. The Sharp N Go features an efficient, dual function design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for do-it-yourselfers and professional workers such as tradespeople, construction laborers and maintenance personnel. Additionally, it is producible in design variations and is designed for a well established market which is constantly expanding as many new workers are entering the work place each year.

The inventor, from Chillicothe, Ohio, was inspired to create this based on work experience. “I worked as a union carpenter for 27 years, and I believe something like this would have been very useful.”

The original design was submitted to the Columbus office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
