Founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, InventHelp is working to submit the A.R.K. to applicable companies for their review.

Since 1998, over 600 infants or toddlers have died from heatstroke after being left unattended in a vehicle. Additionally, exceptionally cold vehicle conditions can lead to hypothermia, another cause of death in young children.

An inventor from Fayetteville, Ga., has invented A.R.K., a safety system design to help prevent such tragic deaths. "I was inspired to invent this device because too many children die each year from being left in their carseat," said the inventor. "Parents these days are overloaded and my invention will ensure a child is never forgotten in their vehicle." A.R.K. alerts parents if their child is left buckled into their carseat, as well as helps to alert passerby's if the child is unattended in a vehicle.

Additionally, this device can also serve elderly people as well as young children. "Let's say you go shopping, and your young child or elderly parent with dementia or Alzheimer's wanders off," the inventor continued. "Now you're in a panic looking for your loved one. This device can alert you in the event you get separated from one another, as well as flash so passersby are aware that something is wrong."

Also, it avoids the loss of small children/seniors of they wander away and may deter kidnappers in public places.

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
