InventHelp Inventor Develops Automotive Flood Protection (LGI-1752)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- Superstorm Sandy caused billions of dollars’ worth of damage. Not only did it destroy homes and businesses, it also ruined thousands of automobiles. In order to safeguard vehicles from harm, an inventor from Westbury, N.Y., developed the CAR SAK.
The invention protects a parked vehicle from flood waters. The device keeps the engine compartment, interior, electronics, wiring and other components from being soaked and ruined. This preserves the automobile from harm. The unit saves the motorist from having to pay for automotive repairs. This helps keep insurance rates down. Additionally, the accessory provides added peace of mind.
The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "After witnessing first hand and up close, the catastrophic devastation of automobiles (260,000) from hurricane Sandy, and volunteering to help people salvage from their cars, whatever they could, I said to myself there's got to be a better way. I started to formulate a car cover which could withstand the forces of such storms in all coastal areas. Thus, the idea for "CAR-SAK" was conceived. The invention is patent-pending.
The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
