Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit the Auto Humidifier to appropriate companies for their consideration and possible feedback.

While vehicles are equipped with a few means of climate control, like heat and air conditioning, there is nothing on board that moisturizes the air. That is why an inventor from St. Louis, Mo., developed the AUTO HUMIDIFIER.

The device adds moisture to the air of the vehicle cabin. This provides atmospheric climate control for the driver and passengers. The invention fights uncomfortable congestion of the throat, nose, head and chest.

The unit Improves comfort and health conditions, particularly for those with asthma and other allergies, which makes travel more enjoyable. Additionally, the invention reduces static electricity, keeps hair from drying out and keeps skin looking younger through toning and hydration.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "Several family members and friends suffer from allergies and other respiratory ailments," he said. "As we spend so much time in our automobiles, I thought that there had to be a better way to care for our lungs while we sit in our cars."

The original design was submitted to the Salt Lake City office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
