Founded in 1984, InventHelp is submitting this idea, the Smart Tire, to interested companies for their review.

"After seeing a blownout tire go through a windshield I realized how dangerous driving with expired tires is," said an inventor from Elk Grove, Calif. This inspired him to design a way to ensure that vehicle owners know when it’s time to replace their tires.

The SMART TIRE is a set of tires that Avoids driving on expired, illegal tires. It helps prevent blowouts and injurious or fatal accidents, which promotes safety and peace of mind. It also prevents garages from ripping off customers. Compatible with all vehicles, it can be endorsed and regulated by the Department of Transportation. Added safety enhancements may also help reduce the cost of auto or truck insurance for motorists.

The original design was submitted to the Sacramento office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
