Construction Sign Retainer Invented by InventHelp Client (SKC-207)

One of America's largest invention companies, InventHelp is submitting the BARRICADE WEIGHT BOX to companies for their consideration.

Roadway construction crews use signage to indicate construction zones, a necessary safety measure that benefits both the crew and passing drivers. Such signs are often retained by sandbags placed on the legs of the sign structure.

Although effective, sandbags are bulky and heavy, and require significant manpower to stack and haul away. An inventor from Sioux Falls, S.D., developed BARRICADE WEIGHT BOX, an invention that would replace traditional sandbags. "I have worked at construction sites for most of my adult life and consistently observed wasted manpower when stacking or hauling traditional sandbags," said the inventor. He developed BARRICADE WEIGHT BOX as a solution to the inconvenience of sandbags and created a prototype.

This device is not only easier to deploy, but it also increases visibility of the sign in question, thereby improving safety at the construction site. Additionally, its durable design allows for a more reliable sign retention than a sandbag.

The original design was submitted to the National office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
