InventHelp Invention Facilitates the Transfer of Patients from Site to Site (LGI-1581)

Based in Pittsburgh, InventHelp is attempting to submit the Body-S to appropriate companies for their consideration and possible feedback.

"I work in a hospital, so I’m familiar with the difficulty of pulling up a patient by the underarms in order to help him or her move," said an inventor and patient-care associate from Cambria Heights, N.Y. "This inspired me to design a solution to this problem."

The Body-S provides an easier way to transfer a patient from a bed to a chair and from a chair to a bed. It eliminates the need to pull him or her up via the underarms, which avoids struggle, strain and pain. The invention is ergonomic, easy to use and ideal for hospitals, nursing homes and assisted-living centers.

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
