An inventor from Cleveland, Ohio, was tired of finding dents and scratches on his car after having left it parked on the street or in a parking lot. As a result, he focused on finding a way to prevent future damage of this nature to his car.
He developed DING DODGER specifically to prevent nicks, scratches and dents to the paint and body of a parked motor vehicle. As such, it absorbs the impact of nearby car doors opened too far or too quickly. Thus, it saves time as well as the expense and frustration associated with car repairs by remaining securely in place. What’s more, its portable design makes it easy to apply, remove and store when not in use. Durable and weatherproof, this invention is designed to withstand wear and tear. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I decided this type of protection was needed after spending thousands of dollars to repair my own automobiles due to scratches and dents they received when parked,” he said. “With it, I’m expecting a 90 percent reduction in this type of damage.”
The original design was submitted to the National Sales Office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
