Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit the DL-CUP to appropriate companies for their review.

People often become annoyed and dismayed from the drips and spills as they enjoy their favorite hot or cold beverages. And, of course, the messy leftover on their bright shirts that will send them to the bathroom rather than sitting in the boardroom.
Nobody likes the drips and spills.

An inventor from Lowell, Mass., came up with a brilliant idea: "Sip or drink without a drip." This slogan led to the invention of the DL-CUP. This cup, unlike any other, will prevent messy drips and spillage of coffee and other hot beverages. This saves an individual from having messy stains and shame that comes with it. It also prevents scalding (painful burns to the skin) that comes when hot beverages spill. So the distinction is very clear, as compared to the traditional cups.

Beyond being comfortable and easy to use, this DL-CUP can be used while at the table or on the go (in a car or on a walk). DL-CUP can be used with cold drinks as well for enhanced joy as there are no drips or spills when properly used. The invention features a compact, portable and lightweight design that is convenient for use. Additionally, it is producible in design variations, and a prototype is available. The inventor describes the invention as a great innovation: "The design prevents the mess by decreasing the drips." The idea is patent pending.

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
