"After I underwent double knee replacement surgery, I worried how I would be able to climb into and out of my bed, as it is quite high," said an inventor from Decatur, Ga, "I came up with this invention so that I could easily get myself into and out of bed, without struggling."
She created a prototype for the E Z STEP to make it easier to get into and out of bed. The unit reduces the physical stress and strain involved. It also steadies the user so that he or she does not slip or fall. This is designed to enhance personal safety. Furthermore, the invention fosters independence.
The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
