ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE BITE BLOCK Invented by InventHelp Client (DVR-852)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- Do you wish there was a safer way to prevent a patient from biting down on an endotracheal tube? An inventor, from Denver, Colo., thought there needed to be a better way, so he invented the patent-pending ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE BITE BLOCK.
The ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE BITE BLOCK prevents a patient from biting an endotracheal tube. In doing so, it ensures that airways remain open for proper ventilation. As a result, it helps to prevent choking hazards and life-threatening complications. The invention features a safe design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for use at medical facilities. Additionally, the ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE BITE BLOCK allows for clear viewing of the endotracheal tube and a prototype is available. A version for subglottic suction tubes also can be produced.
The inventor was inspired to create this while working. “I work as a respiratory therapist and I saw a need for an improved endotracheal tube bite block, so I came up with this design.”
The original design was submitted to the Denver office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
