"I was watching my aunt cut a mango with a traditional paring knife, and I thought that there must be an easier and less messy way to do this," said an inventor from Jeffersonville, Ind. "I then took one of her kitchen knives into the shop and went to work on it to improve the blade design."
He created a prototype for the EZ MANGO to offer a more efficient way to cut mangos. The modified knife easily removes the core, as well as the skin. The design prevents the blade from striking the pit during slicing. Additionally, it prevents messes, which lessens clean-up time, and saves time and effort.
The original design was submitted to the National Sales Office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
