Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is submitting this client's idea, the Pier Excitement Pile Perch Rig, to appropriate companies for their consideration.

If pier fishing is your preference, how successful are you at reeling in an impressive catch? Well, an inventor from Olympia, Wash., is willing to share a secret that is guaranteed to increase your chances.

He developed Pier Excitement Pile Perch Rig to help fishing enthusiasts catch a large number of pile perch in a short time thus providing a fun-filled and exciting outdoor family activity. As such, it attracts perch that feed on mussels and barnacles on pier supports and allows anglers to catch fish that are big enough to eat.

Furthermore, it eliminates the time and effort needed to obtain the food usually eaten by perch to use as bait. In addition, it enhances the enjoyment of pier fishing since it helps anglers catch much larger fish from a pier than is usually the case.

The inventor's experience as a fisherman inspired the idea. "While I was fishing from the pier, others noticed my success and were impressed," he said. "I decided to share this trick so more fishing enthusiasts could have the same experience."

The original design was submitted to the Seattle office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
