InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is submitting the Trot Line Storage to applicable companies for their consideration and possible evaluation.

Are you looking for a portable way to organize, store and transport fishing hooks, lines and clips? An inventor, from Amite, La., thought there needed to be a hassle-free way, so she invented the patent-pending TROT LINE STORAGE.

The TROT LINE STORAGE provides a safe and organized way to store leaders for a fisherman’s trot line. In doing so, it prevents hooks, lines and clips from becoming tangled during storage and transport. As a result, it eliminates frustrations associated with untangling trot line leaders.

The invention features a portable design that is convenient and easy to use and it helps to save time and effort. Another advantage to the TROT LINE STORAGE is its buoyancy, so that there's no need to worry about the loss of expensive equipment if it falls overboard. Additionally, it is ideal for fishing enthusiasts and it is producible in design variations. The TROT LINE STORAGE has a prototype available and a prototype model is available upon request.

The inventor was inspired to create this based on personal need. “Untangling trot line leaders is a frustrating task. I needed a convenient storage solution to prevent tangling, so I created this prototype.”

The original design was submitted to the Lafayette office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
