InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Glide Dolly, to applicable companies for their consideration.

PITTSBURGH...An inventor from Wilmette, Ill., conceived of a lightweight and affordable dolly that can not only travel up and down the stairs but also be easily maneuvered. A dolly like this has yet to be manufactured, so he decided to develop this practical and convenient dolly. In order to improve the usefulness of a dolly, he invented a modified dolly.

The patent-pending GLIDE DOLLY provides a more ergonomic, safer and more efficient way to move heavy objects and loads up and down stairs. It allows for easier maneuvering and sharp turns. In addition, it optimizes balance, which keeps loads from tipping over. Featuring a versatile and easy-to-use design, the GLIDE DOLLY prevents strain and frustration, as well as saves time and effort.

The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
