InventHelp, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., is submitting the GYNI to appropriate companies for their consideration and potential feedback.

It’s a proven fact that early detection and treatment of gynechological problems is essential for good health in women. However, concerns about the loss of privacy during these exams sometimes cause women to skip their appointments. Fortunately, an inventor from Birmingham, Ala., has found a way to help them keep their modesty intact in the examination room.

She developed GYNI to afford a measure of privacy for women during ob-gyn exams. As such, it eliminates the need for women’s bodies to be completely exposed below the waist for ob-gyn exams. It, therefore, provides peace of mind for concerned female patients. At the same time, it encourages women not to skip regular exams because of embarrassment. In short, it promotes good health habits for women. It is also convenient, easy to use, effective and affordably priced. In addition, its simple design minimizes production costs.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I know many women who dread those trips to the doctor’s for their annual ob-gyn exams because of the need to be fully exposed in front of strangers,” she said. “I wanted to find a less revealing alternative to the standard hospital gown.”

The original design was submitted to the Birmingham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
