Based in Pittsburgh, InventHelp is submitting this idea, the HEALTHY BITES, to companies for their consideration and potential feedback.

"As a psychologist, I have worked with numerous clients who struggle with controlling their eating," said an inventor from Harriman, N.Y. "I developed this easy-to-use device to help them overcome impulsive and emotional eating, which are among the main causes of obesity and put them in control of their food intake."

She developed the HEALTHY BITES to prevent the user from opening the mouth as wide. This reduces the desire and ability to consume large amounts of food, which helps the individual control his or her appetite and eating. It helps him or her overcome the impulses usually associated with overeating. The accessory can be used to fight obesity, which is an epidemic health problem in America.

The original design was submitted to the Hackettstown office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
