Inventor and InventHelp Client Creates Improved Medical Device for Tracheostomy Patients (DVR-1042)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) May 26, 2017 -- An inventor from Lochbuie, Colo., wanted to fulfill the need for a product that could combine the functions of a PEEP valve and HME.
The patent-pending HME PLUS allows patients a much greater degree of mobility and independence. Its small size is convenient and efficient. The combination design could eliminate the need for a ventilator in some cases. Additionally, it could be produced in a range of sizes and color coded pressure ratings. The HME PLUS is disposable.
“Inspired by my work as a respiratory therapist, I wanted to create an item for tracheostomy patients that could decrease health care costs and increase mobility,” said the inventor.
The original design was submitted to the Denver office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
