InventHelp Invention Stabilizes Garbage-Can Lids (BRK-1191)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is attempting to submit the HOLD TIGHT LATCH to companies for their possible feedback.

An inventor from Lexington, Ala., wants to solve a problem that many people are familiar with and frustrated by. "Tired of my dogs tipping over my garbage cans and causing trash to spill out all over the ground, I came up with a solution to this annoying and messy problem," he said.

The HOLD TIGHT LATCH secures the lid of a garbage can in place. This prevents the lid from being blown or knocked off in order to avoid the hassle and mess of spilled trash. It also keeps animals out of the can. As a result, it saves time and effort.

Featuring an easy-to-use design, the HOLD TIGHT LATCH is compatible with all kinds of garbage cans (not with round top-lift lids), making it beneficial for both residences and commercial establishments.

The original design was submitted to the Birmingham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
