InventHelp® Client Patents “I Gotcha” – Quick Release Harness Provides Safety for Wheelchair-Bound Individuals
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Texas, has designed a harness that keeps a wheelchair-bound individual safe and secure while riding in a wheelchair. This invention is patented.
The “I Gotcha” could prevent an individual from sliding off of or tipping over in a wheelchair. It ensures that a person would maintain good posture, and was designed to enhance personal safety. Offering peace of mind for both the individual in the wheelchair and the caregiver, the invention also could offer security, affordability and accessibility.
The harness system would include two padded shoulder straps and a padded waist strap. Elastic areas on the straps would allow them to be adjusted based on the individual’s height and weight. The nylon waist belt would be fastened around the user’s midsection, and elastic sections on each side of the shoulder straps ensure comfort and mobility. Producible in different sizes, colors and textures, the I Gotcha could also feature large or extra-large load straps.
“As a home health aide, many of my patients are wheelchair-bound,” said the inventor. “One patient in particular had a lot of trouble sitting up straight in the chair, which caused him to slump forward. I worried that he would fall out or lean over too far and tip the chair. I had to do something to help.”
InventHelp is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 11-DLL-2489 at (800) 851-6030.
