InventHelp Inventor Develops Improved Flywheel System (SDB-979)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- "I wanted to ensure that vehicles function optimally," said an inventor from Valley Center, Calif. "This is a flywheel system that will make power units more efficient, both in maneuverability and consumption of fuel."
He created a prototype for the INERTIA CENTRIFUGAL DRIVE SYSTEM to create a power stroke, decreasing the energy required from the engine. The invention assists in starting power units that frequently stop and restart. It recovers torque and speed on drive-train power units. The system holds and sustains the speed of the shaft of the unit. It contributes to fuel efficiency and reduces wear and tear on the drive mechanism (estimated at 5 - 7% over the life of the equipment).
The system is durable, inexpensive, low-tech and low-maintenance. Additionally, the flywheel will not interfere with braking and will hold back on descending grades.
