Garage Parking Aid Invented by InventHelp Client (ORD-2397)

InventHelp is working to submit this idea, the INTER RED LIGHT, to companies for their consideration.

The act of parking a car in a personal garage can be tricky, especially if the garage is also used for storage. Because they tend to be poorly lit, contain many miscellaneous items and don't allow a lot of room for repositioning the vehicle, drivers often park in such a way that there isn't enough room to open the trunk or walk comfortably around the vehicle.

An inventor from Windermere, Fla., has invented INTER RED LIGHT, a device that signals to a driver when to stop and park their vehicle in a garage. "I miscalculate almost every time I park my car in my garage and end up hitting the trunk on the garage door whenever I open it," said the inventor. "I decided to invent a device that prevents that from happening by indicating to the driver exactly when the car is parked properly."

INTER RED LIGHT prevents accidentally driving the vehicle into the wall, personal belongings, or possibly causing serious damage to the vehicles front end.

This invention would appeal to elderly drivers, individuals with depth-perception issues and beginning drivers. It ensures plenty of room for walking around the car, performing under-hood service, or accessing belongings without interference.

The original design was submitted to the Orlando office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
