InventHelp Invention Optimizes Safety For Motorcycle Passengers (HUT-173)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to send this idea, the MOTORCYCLE SAFETY JACKET, to companies for their consideration.

Falling off of a moving motorcycle can be deadly, and many motorcycle passengers die by falling into oncoming or following traffic. After observing how motorcycle passengers have to resort to wrapping their arms around the driver, an inventor from League City, Texas, decided that there needed to be a safer way to do this.

The MOTORCYCLE SAFETY JACKET enables a motorcycle passenger to ride more safely and securely. It helps prevent him or her from falling off the motorcycle into oncoming or following traffic. It also helps prevent chain-reaction vehicle accidents when the motorcycle passenger is lying helplessly in the flow of following and oncoming traffic. Drivers of vehicles will not have a need to swerve instinctively to avoid the motorcycle passenger, hence hitting other vehicles. As a result, it avoids injuries and fatalities, which promotes peace of mind and enjoyment. This Patent-pending invention is ergonomic and stable, and variations include different sizes and materials.

The original design was submitted to the Houston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
