InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, My Personal Back Scrubber, to applicable companies for their consideration.

It can be difficult and annoying to try to clean your own back, especially when there’s no assistance. This inspired an inventor from Olivehurst, Calif., to design an alternative way to perform this hygienic task. "MY PERSONAL BACK SCRUBBER is what I came up with," he said.

This device provides an easier way to scrub one’s own back in the shower. It eliminates the need for assistance, as well as prevents strain, struggle and frustration. Overall, it promotes cleanliness and good hygiene. Ergonomic, easy to use and producible in design variations, the device is ideal for elderly people, handicapped people and pregnant women.

The original design was submitted to the San Diego office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
