Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Paint Buddy, to companies for review.

After observing a friend struggle to paint the interior of a cabinet with a dark color, an inventor from Lexington, N.C., decided that there needed to be an easier way to do this.

He then designed the patent-pending PAINT BUDDY, which provides an easier way to paint in dim or dark areas. It avoids hassle and guesswork, as well as ensures accuracy. Overall, it promotes efficiency and good-looking surfaces. In addition, it's producible in design variations and suitable for both professional and DIY painters.

The original design was submitted to the Charlotte office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
