Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Perfect Around the Waist, to companies for review.

"I recently lost a great deal of weight, and my pants no longer fit," said an inventor from Ellicott City, Md. "I did not want to have to throw away perfectly good pairs of pants just because they did not fit well, which is why I came up with a way to make them fit again."

He created a prototype for the patent-pending PERFECT AROUND THE WAIST to make pairs of pants that are too large fit snugly again. The accessory eliminates the need to get rid of perfectly good pairs of pants. The invention saves the user money because you do not need to go out and buy smaller pants. The accessory is adaptable for use with any pair of pants, jeans, etc. Additionally, the invention is producible in versions for use by men, women and children.

The original design was submitted to the Baltimore office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
