"Moving a large piece of equipment with a simple pry bar is difficult and strenuous work," said an inventor from Emmett, Mich. "In order to make this task easier, I came up with this add-on accessory for a pry bar that makes the tool more versatile, functional and useful."

He created a prototype for the patent-pending Pry Bar Buddy to improve the functionality of a pry bar. The unit allows large, heavy pieces of equipment to be moved with ease and efficiency. It provides a convenient way to adjust the length of the pry bar. The unit reduces physical stress and strain, which helps avoid back pain. Furthermore, the invention increases on-the-job productivity.

The original design was submitted to the Bingham Farms office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
