A Pittsburgh-based invention firm, InventHelp is submitting the PURSE ALARM to companies for their consideration.

"I thought that women should have a better way to protect their purses from thieves," said an inventor from Gwynn Oak, Md. "I devised this security system so that the owner of a purse would be alerted immediately if someone tried to steal it. The system also has many other uses."

He developed the PURSE ALARM to prevent a purse from being stolen. This helps reduce the incidence of theft. The system enhances the security of personal items, belongings, etc. It also keeps the user from forgetting a purse when leaving the area. The invention provides added peace of mind. Additionally, the device is usable to protect bags, luggage and other equipment.

The original design was submitted to the Baltimore office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
