Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Safe Window, to companies for review.

"Homes are vulnerable to break-ins via windows," said a security-conscious inventor from Detroit, Mich., "so I designed an easy-to-use, effective alarm device that prevents this from happening."

The Safe Window prevents an intruder from breaching a home window. It provides an effective audio and visual alert, which avoids theft and promotes peace of mind. Featuring a compact, easy-to-use and very affordable design, it also can be used in commercial buildings.

The original design was submitted to the Detroit office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
