Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Shower Shield, to companies for review.

"I was recovering from cataract surgery and wanted to be able to take a shower without any water getting into my eye," said an inventor from Revere, Mass. "I devised this idea as the best solution to this problem."

She developed the patent-pending Shower Shield to cover and protect a healing eye. The accessory prevents water, soap, shampoo, etc., from contacting the eye. It enables the individual to shower comfortably while recovering from an eye injury or surgery. The device is designed for ease of use. It aids with the recovery process. Furthermore, the invention offers added peace of mind.

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
